Independent Advisor
Vyral is a broker, not a PEO. We have no product to push, only a fit to find.
What a PEO actually takes off your plate
A PEO co-employs your staff for administrative purposes. In practice that means four things stop being your problem.
Payroll and tax
Processing, filings, W-2s and multi-state tax registration handled end to end.
Benefits
Access to plans usually priced for much larger employers, plus the admin that comes with them.
Workers compensation
Coverage, class code management and claims handling, generally without a separate policy.
HR and compliance
Handbooks, onboarding, terminations and keeping up with employment law in your states.
Is a PEO right for you?
It is not the right answer for everyone. Here is the honest version.
Usually a good fit
You have roughly 5 to 500 employees, want better benefits than you can buy alone, and would rather not hire a full HR function yet.
Often not a fit
You already run a mature in-house HR and benefits operation, or you need to keep full direct control of every employment decision and system.
What a certified PEO adds
A CPEO is certified by the IRS, which changes the tax liability picture and adds a financial assurance requirement. Worth asking any provider whether they hold it.
Common questions
What is a PEO?
A professional employer organization co-employs your staff for administrative purposes. You keep control of the work, hiring and firing. The PEO takes on payroll, benefits, workers comp and much of the HR compliance burden.
How is a PEO different from a payroll service?
A payroll service runs payroll. A PEO also becomes the employer of record for tax and benefits purposes, which is what unlocks large-group benefits pricing and bundled workers comp.
What is a certified PEO?
A CPEO has been certified by the IRS, which carries bond and audit requirements and shifts certain federal employment tax liability to the PEO. Not every good PEO is certified, but it is a fair question to ask.
How does Vyral make money?
The PEO you select pays us. You are not charged, at any stage, whether or not you choose a provider.
